This was the Monday before Halloween. Ben and I did a 'test run' of our costumes; Got all dressed up as vampires, went out to eat at Macaroni Grill (nice restaurant) and walked around town for a bit.
Don't like the makeup and hair I did that evening as much as on Halloween itself.. but the purpose of this pic is mostly just to show off my dress.  If I had the time or money, I'd have chosen better materials, but the very basic skirt and corset-style top began as a test for what I was hoping would be the base pattern to use for my wedding dress. So I chose inexpensive material (in burgundy and black), and then later decided to add everything else to it to use as a Halloween costume. The pattern was for the simple skirt and corset-style top. All the drapies, the lace detail, edging, and biggo butt bow were added by yours truly. (Btw, No, the eyes weren't edited. Those are contacts.) -TW |
